Our Kicksledding Story:
CANkicksled is the NEW Canadian distributor for Norax AS of Norway. CANkicksled is located in the beautiful mountain community of Kimberley, British Columbia, nestled in the Purcell Mountain Range with panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and the scenic Kootenay River Valley.
We are proud to sell Norax kicksleds, having been introduced to them in Thunder Bay Ontario in 2001, while teaching at the Nor West Outdoor Centre. What sold us on kicksledding was seeing how people of all ages and abilities could get active, have instant success and have fun. We then moved to Fort Smith, a small northern community in the NWT where we lived for over 10 years. In Fort Smith, we started an Outdoor Education and Tourism business, introducing Norax kicksleds to clients of all ages. We even introduced Kicksledding to over 200 youth at the NWT Winter Games in 2005 in Fort Smith. After spending many wonderful years living in the Northwest Territories, enjoying the many months of winter recreation adventures, facilitating outdoor education classes, working with youth groups and winter tourists, it was time to move on.
We now call Kimberley home and are discovering all the wonders of Kicksledding and outdoor fun in BC. We just love it here!
